Mark D. Layfield, PE, LEED AP

Project Engineer and Principal-in-Charge of our Denver area office, Mark Layfield has been at Reese Hackman since its early days, 1997.  Today his responsibilities include managing projects, as well as designing electrical, lighting, and low-voltage systems for a variety of clients and project types.

“Senior-living communities may use commercial-grade mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment, but these facilities are ‘home’ to the people who live there.  As we design MEP systems, that’s what we always keep in mind.”

Arvada, Colorado

Favorite food:
Green chili, my wife’s recipe in particular.

My workout:
A run on the Cherry Creek Trail.

Seemed like a good idea at the time:
Entering a roller-coaster marathon.  After 110 laps, the theme park shut us down.

I am seldom without:
Music – either on my iPhone or on satellite radio.  Alternative and classic rock are what I listen to the most.

The best thing about my job is:
When a client is so happy with the work we’ve done on a project that we are called back to do another.
