Project Description

Charlestown strives to provide its residents with top-quality care in a comfortable, yet stimulating community.  Renovations of the 4,100 square foot Terrace Café, one of six restaurants at Charlestown, exemplify their commitment to this goal.  The upgrade provided a high volume dining option in a supportive environment, while still maintaining the casual and relaxed feel of a café.  Included in the updated dining hall are a brick hearth oven, teppanyaki grill, rotisserie, yogurt and salad bar, full cocktail bar, and an outdoor dining area equipped with a sound system.  The 17-foot, A-frame ceilings are complimented by rustic exposed red brick walls.  The renovation also doubled the seating capacity of the café, which can now accommodate up to 96 people with a variety of seating options.  In addition, the upgrades included a complete renovation of the lower lobby café entrance, which features a fireplace lounge where residents, family members, staff, and guests can relax and enjoy beverages and snacks throughout the day.  Reese Hackman provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, specialty lighting, and audio/visual design services for this project.
