Children’s Choice at Morenci

MORENCI TOWNSITE PARKS & RECREATION | MORENCI, AZ

Children’s Choice at Morenci is a new daycare center located in Morenci, Arizona. This 7,000 square foot facility, with the resources to accommodate children from infancy to kindergarten, is the setting for a community dedicated to creating a nurturing environment for children where learning meets caring. The center includes 7 classrooms, each with daylight harvesting and multi-level lighting controls (which provides flexibility for various tasks, such as napping). Also included is a kitchen where food is prepared for the kids and staff. Children’s Choice is located adjacent to the Morenci Community Center, Morenci Library, and Morenci Theatre. All are part of the Morenci Plaza, which underwent an extensive face lift to invigorate the Morenci Townsite (owned by Freeport McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc). Reese Hackman provided the lighting, electrical, and telecommunications design services for this $2 million project.
