The Smoky Hill Library is a $7 million public use library for the Arapahoe County Library District, Colorado. The 42,000 square foot facility provides library services for all ages with dedicated areas for young children, teenagers, and adult users. These areas include a children’s bookstack area, children’s storytime area, youth and teenager bookstack area, adult nonfiction and fiction bookstack areas, adult reader’s workroom, casual reading areas, computer training facility, community meeting and assembly rooms, study rooms, and library staff office and work spaces. Reese Hackman provided electrical engineering and lighting design for the library.
