SENIOR LIVING

The Village at Rockville

NATIONAL LUTHERAN COMMUNITIES & SERVICES | ROCKVILLE, MD

With the goal of becoming a full-service Continuing Care Retirement Community, the Village at Rockville embarked upon a multi-phased, 150,000 square foot renovation and 980 square foot expansion project. The revitalized facility includes an updated skilled nursing center with long-term care and short-stay rehabilitation, in addition to 50 new assisted living apartments with ground floor support spaces. The addition of the assisted living services will fill the community’s need for intermediate level care. The 3 levels of care are now separated by floor, with each floor split into three households. Each household features its own country kitchen, dining room, and activities. The first floor assisted living ‘Main Street’ activities area includes a library, coffee shop, beauty shop, fitness area, and chapel. Reese Hackman provided all electrical, lighting, mechanical, plumbing, low voltage, and telecommunications design services for this $28.5 million addition and renovation project.
